Liat:
- spent nine very long years as a management consultant before changing careers and becoming a journalist in 2003 (but still has flashbacks about people spouting meaningless jargon such as 'let's benchmark the core competencies' and 'brainstorm some implementable actions')
- has been playing tennis for over 25 years and never tires of it
- realises she would have more time to paint if she spent less time faffing on Facebook, Lexulous and Mumsnet
- is mum to a five-year-old who wants to be a tube train driver when he grows up
- has played tennis in the middle of a cyclone in Mauritius
- once kissed Derek Batey (not like that....) on the back seat of her grandparents' car and has had a chat with Rolf Harris at a party (but didn't discuss his didgeridoo)
- likes fish and chips every Friday night but only has half a portion
- has written books and articles about parenting but definitely doesn't profess to being a perfect parent
- lives with two Green & Blacks chocolate addicts
- spent her childhood in Lytham St. Annes where it was nearly always blowing a gale (the third picture along is the beach there).
