Back in 2002, a generous commissioning editor at The Sunday Times decided to give a completely unknown 'writer' a chance. Maybe they'd got out of the right side of bed that day. Maybe their long lost cat finally found its way home. Maybe they'd had a hot date the night before. We'll never know.

 

But for that wannabe journalist (me obviously), it was the start of a new career. 

 

Since then, I've written for all the major UK national newspapers and plenty of magazines, mainly about parenting and family life but sometimes about homes and property and travel. So a big thank you to that editor way back when.
